Minggu ke-12

Masa semakin pantas, kesibukan raya tak teringat yang kandungan Zuha sudah masuk minggu ke-12. Sudah mula nampak perut Zuha bila pakai baju kurung.

Sedikit info tentang minggu ke-12
Dipetik dari www.amazingpregnancy.com

The Mom:
You may not have gained any weight yet, but between now and the end of your pregnancy, you will probably gain between 25-35 pounds. If you are overweight, your doctor may advise you to only gain 15-20 pounds.

Try not to focus on the weight you are gaining, but instead on eating healthy. If you haven't already, now would be a good time to cut out empty calories from your diet. Be sure you are eating a wide variety of fruits, fresh vegetables and protein. During pregnancy, the body requires extra calories, protein, vitamins, and minerals in order to support the baby's growth and to allow for changes in the mother's body. Important considerations in pregnancy include protein, vitamin B12, iron, calcium, vitamin D, zinc, and folate.

Your uterus is too big to fit in your pelvis now, and you may be able to feel it just above your pubic bone.

The end of your 12th week, ends your first trimester! Congrats! You are a third of the way there!

SYMPTOMS YOU MAY EXPERIENCE

Breast Changes, tenderness, fullness, darkening of the areola
Frequent Urination
Morning Sickness
Fatigue
Constipation
Indigestion or heartburn
Occasional headaches

The Baby:
Half an ounce!! That's how much, on the average, your baby weighs. She is about 2.5 inches long. All that growth in just 10 short weeks since conception. You can probably hear your baby's heartbeat with a doppler at your appointment this month. The pituitary gland is starting to produce hormones, such as growth hormone, prolactin, corticotropin and others. Ossification is beginning, and there are now bone formations. Fingernails continue to grow, and baby is developing hair. Fingers and toes are fully separated.
